Mutton Shank is the bone marrow filled part between the knee and ankle of the animal. Shanks, also called Nalli, are made to slow cook a beautiful stew called Nalli Nihari. It gives you the deepest mutton aroma, is supposed to be cooked for atleast 6-7 hours, and is a recipe passed down from the Mughal Kings. Please enjoy.
